Inclusive Club Racing at Royal Perth Yacht Club

Are you feeling competitive? Ready to put your skills and knowledge to the test and take your sailing to the next level? Join the inclusive Club racing, hosted by Royal Perth Yacht Club.

When Sailability WA members have been training and feel confident with their boat handling and the Racing Rules of Sailing, another exciting opportunity is available.

Join in with Club racing, either with the Royal Perth Yacht Club Off the Beach section, or as crew on a keelboat in the RPYC fleet. We have several Paralympians, National, and World Champions sailing regularly in Club races who all started through Sailability WA.

One inspiring example is Colin Harrison, a Paralympic gold medallist from Rio 2016. Colin is a regular sailor in Division 2 on Saturdays, with Boomer. The famous gold medal winning yacht from the Paralympics.

Colin is a long-time Saturday keelboat sailing participant, having sailed for many years, during his various campaigns. There are not many sports in the world where you can compete on the same playing field as gold medalists and world level sailors, however sailing provides this for people of all abilities !
